A Community Coming Together for Health Care in Oceanside

We Are So Very Close!
There are moments in a community when you can feel something special happening, and this is one of those moments.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Oceanside, we are so very close to reaching our fundraising goal for Primrose Medical Centre. What began as a vision for expanded health-care services in our community is now becoming a reality, thanks to the people who have given, encouraged, volunteered and believed in what Primrose can mean for Oceanside.
The doors are getting closer to opening. With one final push from our community, we can cross the finish line together.
Thank you, Oceanside. This is your medical centre, and this is your community coming together.
A Very Special Thank You to the Town of Qualicum Beach
We are incredibly grateful to the Town of Qualicum Beach for its generous $400,000 donation toward equipping Primrose Medical Centre.
This remarkable contribution will help ensure the new centre is a fully equipped health-care facility, ready to serve our community. We are deeply appreciative of the leadership and commitment shown by the Town of Qualicum Beach and its community.
Thank You to the 100 Fine Men of Oceanside Who Give a Damn
We also want to give a very special thank you to the 100 Fine Men of Oceanside Who Give a Damn, who donated $20,000 to Mid Island Health Alliance.
Their generosity, energy and commitment to our community are a wonderful example of what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.
To the 100 Fine Men: thank you for giving a damn, and for putting that caring into action.

Medical Director's Corner with Dr. Kelly Hadfield
As we look toward opening Primrose Medical Centre, it's exciting to share more about what patients can expect when our doors open.
The new clinic will feature:
Nine exam rooms
Two procedural exam rooms
Four family physicians on opening day
Capacity for up to 15 family physicians
13 specialty clinics
These specialty clinics represent an important new expansion of health-care services in our community.
It's also important to emphasize that none of these specialty clinics are reserved for Primrose Medical Centre patients. Every family physician and nurse practitioner in Oceanside will be able to refer their patients on an equal footing. Primrose is intended to be a resource for the broader Oceanside community, working alongside the physicians and nurse practitioners who already provide care here.
Primrose will also host a resident from the Nanaimo Family Medicine Residency site, giving a family medicine resident the opportunity to train in our community while contributing to local health care.
We are incredibly excited about what this centre will bring to Oceanside, and about the collaboration that will make it possible.
Opening Day: November 2
And then, the moment we have all been waiting for:
November 2: Primrose Medical Centre opens its doors to patients.
