Welcome to the MIHA Community
It's been a pleasure meeting so many of you recently. Whether we connected at an event, presentation, fundraiser, or through Newcomers or Art in the Garden, welcome to the Mid Island Health Alliance (MIHA) community.
Thank you for your interest in helping build a stronger healthcare system for our region. On our blog, we'll share our progress, upcoming events, and the many ways people across the Mid Island area are coming together to improve access to primary healthcare.
We're grateful to have you with us as we work toward a healthier future for everyone in Oceanside.

100 Women Who Care — A Remarkable Community Gift
We're thrilled to share some wonderful news: Mid Island Health Alliance has been selected as the recipient of a $38,000 gift from 100 Women Who Care Oceanside.
This extraordinary gift brings us one step closer to expanding access to family healthcare and supporting the development of the Primrose Medical Centre. We're honoured to have been chosen, and inspired by the generosity of so many women coming together to create meaningful local impact.

Primrose Medical Centre — Construction Update
There's exciting progress happening at Primrose Medical Centre. The demolition phase is now complete, and framing for the rooms and walls is well underway. Construction remains on schedule, keeping us on track for our planned opening at the end of October 2026.
It's incredibly rewarding to see the vision for Primrose Medical Centre take shape. Every wall that goes up is another step toward increasing access to primary care for families throughout the Mid Island region.

While construction is progressing well, our fundraising efforts continue. Additional support will help us complete and equip the clinic with examination room furnishings, medical technology, and the infrastructure needed to welcome patients from day one.
Every contribution brings us closer to opening the doors of Primrose Medical Centre and providing better access to care for local families.

Patient Attachment: What You Can Do Now
"It's an exciting time as construction has begun on the future Primrose Medical Centre. Over the past several months, I've been refining the clinic's design to maximize the number of physicians who can practice there in the years ahead. As family doctors start and continue to join this clinic, they will attach patients through the Health Connect Registry. Our goal is to make long waits on that list a thing of the past!
The most important thing you can do right now is register with the BC Health Connect Registry. If you have not already done so, or if you wish to confirm your registration is current, please visit the Health Connect Registry website or call 8-1-1, where a representative can assist you."
Together, We Are Building a Healthier Future
From the generous women of 100 Women Who Care Oceanside, to our donors, volunteers, partners, healthcare professionals, and everyone who has shared our vision — thank you.
The progress at Primrose Medical Centre reflects what we can accomplish when we work together. We look forward to keeping you updated as construction continues and we move closer to opening the doors.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
