This is a collaborative relationship between MIHA and NDHF to support MIHA’s fundraising efforts in alignment with our mutual goal of improving healthcare for Central Vancouver Island.

Who We Are

The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation supports NRGH, Oceanside Health Centre, Dufferin Place, Trillium Lodge, and Eagle Park, while operating two businesses, Lifeline Nanaimo and Code Brew Café, whose revenues support our fundraising goals.

As a trusted partner to donors, healthcare providers, and the community, we are dedicated to elevating healthcare excellence for Central Vancouver Island. Through the generosity of our community, we fund critical medical equipment, support major healthcare projects, and enhance patient comfort. Our commitment ensures that residents receive top-tier medical care close to home, fostering a healthier future for all.

Enhancing Local Health Care

We are dedicated to improving healthcare services for residents of Central and North Vancouver Island by funding state-of-the-art medical equipment and supporting critical care projects.

Community-Driven

Through community donations and involvement, the Foundation bridges funding gaps, ensuring patients receive optimal care and healthcare professionals have the necessary resources.

Fair Care Alliance

The Fair Care Alliance is a coalition of medical, business, Indigenous, municipal, philanthropic, and regional leaders, as well as the broader community, dedicated to ensuring equitable access to healthcare for residents of Central and North Vancouver Island.

Mission: To ensure that all people north of the Malahat have access to appropriate and comprehensive tertiary healthcare in Nanaimo, located on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation.

Vision: To expand Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) into a comprehensive tertiary hospital with an integrated approach to care and wellness that benefits all people north of the Malahat.
