How It Works
Looking for a family doctor? Start here.
Register with the Province's Health Connect Registry at healthlinkbc.ca/health-connect-registry, or call 8-1-1 and a representative can help you. This is how people without a primary care provider are connected with new family physicians and nurse practitioners as they become available.

There is no separate waitlist
Neither Mid Island Health Alliance nor the physicians at Primrose Medical Centre keep individual patient waitlists or assign patients outside the provincial process. Registering with the Health Connect Registry is the best way to be considered when new providers become available, at Primrose or anywhere in B.C.

Already registered?
Make sure your registration is current. You can confirm it online through the same link or by calling 8-1-1.

About Primrose Medical Centre
Primrose Medical Centre officially opened with a ribbon cutting on October 26, 2026, and welcomes its first patients on November 2, 2026. The clinic is physician-led, and its physicians decide their own patient panels.

MIHA's role
Mid Island Health Alliance led the community fundraising to build Primrose Medical Centre and is now focused on its next projects. MIHA is not involved in the clinic's day-to-day operations and does not assign patients to physicians.

Will registering guarantee me a spot at Primrose?
Registering doesn't guarantee placement with a specific clinic, but it is the pathway providers use to take on new patients, so it is the best way to be considered.

Questions after November 2
Once the clinic opens, please contact Primrose Medical Centre directly for accurate information about timing and process.
